what is the exchange rate for the dolar to indian money?

we are planning a trip to india and would like to know as much about money exchange as possible. thx for any help.

3. I'm not sure which dollar you're talking about. I did three conversions just to be safe: USD to INR = 1:40.7514569 CAD to INR = 1:36.9795428 AUD to INR = 1:33.6077265 These are the current exchange rates (as of today, May 18th).
