  1. Just go to your Local Bank that you usually use and they should be able to do currency exchange or you may possibly do it online through your bank.
  2. If you're flying into Canada, they'll have money exchange booths at the airport. You also can go to your local bank in the firstly. They may Canadian money for exchange or a local money exchange kiosk.
  3. If you have US dollars, nearly every place here in Canada will take it. The exchange isn't always exactly the same as the bank, but it's more covenient. Up to you.
  4. Unless you live close to the Canadian border, in the USA, most local small town banks will NOT have Canadian currency on hand. Just use any ATM in Canada, that has the same logo as your bank or debit card has on the back. The most common are Visa, and Mastercard. The Discovery card does not work in Canada, at all. Stay away from the "currency exchange " places at the border, way too costly...... After all they are in business to make a profit, right ? By using Canadian money, you avoid all the hassles about exchange rates. If I am in the USA, can I pay for anything with Canadian money ? Of course not. So why would you expect to be able to use 'merican money here ? Jim b. Toronto.
